Time for a question: what do you think the material of this art work? This is actually made with an old map, which is made by an artist based in New York named Matt Cusick. He only used essential colors of the maps, textbooks, and guide books to create the collage of an art piece. Check out more of his art works:

Zac Freeman

Since 1999, this artist named Zac Freeman searched through trash bins around his house, and started to collect the items that could be part of the materials of his works. Some of items he collected are: buttons, TV remote controls, keyboards, bottle caps, etc - especially something that has colors. After he collect them, he paste them into the big canvas to create a portrait. 

The size of works are very huge, so if you're near from the work, you only can see the junks so you must step out to see completed portrait. And here is more of his works below:
