Trick Eye Museum Logo Contest

The name of the museum Trick Eye or Trick of the Eye (longer version) comes from a French phrase Trompe-l’oeil (trompe for deceive + l’oeil for eye).

Trompe-l’oeil refers to an art technique of turning two-dimensional paintings into three-dimensional images through the use of the optical illusions.

Trick Eye Museum is an interactive optical illusion museum, where visitors are allowed to freely touch and take photos with museum’s tricky paintings that create a 3D optical illusion. Starting from 3 local branches in Seoul, Busan and Jeju correspondingly Trick Eye moved towards the global market and opened new branches in Singapore, China and Hong Kong.

Now being a global brand, Trick Eye is looking for a new logo that can reflect Trick Eye’s brand image of a global, fun and “tricky” museum.

Contest Details:
-Create an original logo design that reflects Trick Eye Museum’s core values (Maximum number of logo designs allowed to submit per team/ individual – 2 designs)

Logo Design Guidelines:
-Must be in English
-Must incorporate either “Trick Eye” or “Trick Eye Museum” words
-Both logo that consists only of words or words+image/character are okay.
-Preferable design image and examples

Contestant Qualifications:
-No restrictions. Anyone interested is allowed to participate

Contest Deadlines:
-Design Submission Period: July 15 – August 31
-Winner Announcement: September 8

Submission Details:
-Go to – click on “W” icon to download the application form, fill it out and send it to together with logo design files.
-Email Subject Line: “Logo Design Contest_Your Name”

Submission List:
-Application form
-Logo design jpeg file + AI or PDF (300dpi) file.

*Late Submission is not allowed. If you have two logo design to propose, they must be submitted together.

1st Place – 1,000,000 KRW + Winner certificate
2d Place – 400,000 KRW + Winner certificate
3d Place – 300,000 KRW + Winner certificate

Important Notices:
-Contest period may be extended if all submitted logo designs do not satisfy Trick Eye’s minimum logo quality requirements.
-In the case none of the submitted logo designs qualifies for the first place, only second and third places will be distributed.
-Contest Awards do not include taxes.
-Contestants agree that their submitted logo designs will be used for commercial, marketing or other purposes (submitted Logo Design copyright belongs to Trick Eye Museum Co., Ltd).
-Winning logo designs may be consequently altered.
-All designs MUST be submitted by email. Hand drawn logos will not be accepted.
-The designers of the works submitted will be responsible for any claims made in relation to the authorship of the designs and possible cases of plagiarism related to the same. If any of the participants is found to have committed plagiarism, the participant shall immediately be disqualified from the contest and will have to face legal responsibility.
-The contest details are subject to change depending on the circumstances.

-By participating in the contest participants agree to all its terms and conditions.
