Andrew Myers

This is an American artist named Andrew Myers who creates 3D portrait using screws. He was inspired from his part time job from past - working as co-worker of bronze works at church.

On something like wood panels or phone books, he creates a hole then insert a screw in different length (which gives 3D effect) using a drill. Then he puts in the colors to complete his work. And here are some of his works:

Because of it takes long time, he doesn't have many works done yet, but for each of his work, about 8,000 to 10,000 screws are needed. Also he works on different items other than portraits :)
